Advanced Techniques: Saturday September 14, Lagana Foods, Ages 9-13

This class will be the first of a three part mini series: Preserving, Roasting, and Braising. We encourage you to sign up for all three as we will be building upon the techniques learned in each previous class.

In this class we will be preserving all the end of summer bounty! We will be making a blackberry shrub, pickles, pickled mustard seeds, and freezer pesto. We will continue to utilize these as ingredients in our following two classes.

Skills: Various preservation techniques such as canning, jams, pickles, and shrubs.

This class is held at Lagana Foods. (click for map) (This location is a little hidden. It is located in the office buildings between Portage Bay Cafe and Stone Gardens)

This class is vegetarian and gluten free.
